I was back at the Black Sea coast in the summer and managed to make a visit to Tsarevo, which I somehow missed on my last trip. I was glad I did because it is much nicer than the guide books tell you. The town is situated on a headland and looks down on the south side to the port and on the north side at the beach. In between there are rocky coves for swimmers and fishermen to enjoy. The centre itself is pretty much lke most Bulgarian seaside towns….there is a main pedestrian street, but because of its elevated position, this one gives nice views down to the sea on the southern side.
